Naomi Couquet

Naomi Couquet commenced her music studies with piano at the Conservatoire de Toulon (France).Then she decided to study singing and graduated in 2015. She pursued  her singing studies for one year at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles. As a young mezzo-soprano, Naomi  also developed her interpretation during Masterclasses with Vivica Genaux and Mireille Delunsch who is regularly teaching her.

 

Alongside with her musical activities, Naomi studied at the Cours Florent in Paris with Grétel Delattre and Julie Recoing. She also graduated from the Sorbonne with a Masters in Literature in 2015.

 

Naomi sang in the children’s choir in Carmen, La bohème, Tosca and Werther. As a soloist, roles include First Boy and Second Lady in The Magic Flute, L’Enfant in Ravel’s L’Enfant et les Sortilèges, Elle in Poulenc’s La Voix Humaine, and Agathe in Varney’s Les Mousquetaires au Couvent at the Opera de Toulon.

 

Since September 2018 Naomi is an artist in residence at the Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth (Belgium). There she works with José Van Dam, Jocelyne Dienst and Philippe Riga.
